Yesterday, on various social media platforms, Mood Swing Comedy announced that it would be bringing Barry Crimmins, the legendary comedian and subject of Bobcat Goldthwait’s new, critically acclaimed, award winning documentary Call Me Lucky, to NYC for two nights at two very special editions of Church! and Mood Swing Mondays.
Personally, Crimmins means a lot to me as a comedian and human being, so my partners and I (Mike Gifaldi and Kevin Ricotta), got together and decided we’d pick up some of the cost of having Barry come down so we could keep tickets as low as possible. We want as many people to come see Crimmins as we can fit into these places. It’s an honor and a privilege that we were able to work this out.
The first show, Sunday, October 18th at 7pm, will be at Bunga’s Den (137 W. 14th St., NY, NY) in Chelsea. I’ll be hosting, but that’s it. I’m sure we’ll add some stellar support if Mr. Crimmins wants it, but it’s Barry’s show. Seating is extremely limited here, so please make sure you get yourself a seat ahead of time. Once we sell out, we’re out. Tickets are $5 ahead of time or $10 at the door. You can get them below:
The second show, Monday, October 19th at 9pm, will be at Brit Pack (34 Pell St., NY, NY 10013); which is a larger venue in the heart of Chinatown in a space that used to be a takeout restaurant. It’s been beautifully renovated and set up as one of the best indie venues in NYC, so this is going to be a big one. Tickets will be $10 ahead of time and $15 at the door, but I strongly, STRONGLY suggest you purchase them as soon as possible. Link below:
There it is, folks. That’s the big, great news. Hope to see you out there!
